Toyota Innova requires no introduction. It is always known for its reliability and riding comfort and it is one of the most reliable and comfortable MUV available in India. Now Toyota has launched a new Innova with name Innova Hycross. Let's see how it is..
The car looks very attractive from front angle. The long bonnet, wide grille and thin airdam are giving it a bold look. A skid plate is also provided with the Hycross.
A pair of small fog lamps are provided on the bumper looks nice. It is a beautiful and bold vehicle from front.
Hycross is a long vehicle from sides. The 4.7 meter length and 185mm ground clearance are evident from sides. It has a wheelbase of 2.85 meter, which ensures the roominess and ride comfort.
The Hycross comes with 18 inch alloy wheels. Thick cladding is provided on the wheel arches making it muscular. Rear view mirrors with turn indicators are in body color and the grab rails provided on the roof making it more stylish and giving it an SUV look from sides.
When come to the rear, you can find the Toyota logo, INNOVA and Hycross badging can be seen on the tailgate. A thick bumper with reflectors making the rear portion beautiful. The skid plate provided under the bumper is giving it an SUV look from rear.
The Hycross is provided with a Sharkfin antenna, rear spoiler with stop lamps and a rear wiper. However the major attraction of the Hycross is its tail lamp, the wrap-around LED tail lamps of the car looks really beautiful and perfectly syncing with the overall design of the car.
The car is also provided with powered tail gate. The tail gate can be closed with a touch of a button provided on it.
The Hycross having a 300 liters of bootspace with all the three rows in upright position.
But you can generate 991 liters of boot space by folding the third row seats.
The Hycross comes with a very premium interior. It has a very spacious cabin. The steering wheel of the car looks very premium, cruise control and audio control switches are provided on it. This steering having telescopic adjustment so it can be adjusted manually for suitable driving position. Moreover paddle-shifters are also provided with this steering wheel.
The vehicle is provided with a very neatly laid out dashboard. A 10 inch touchscreen infotainment system is provided on the middle of the dashboard. Front seats are very comfortable and are ventilated seats. Both these seats can be adjusted electrically.
When come to the infotainment system, this system can support Android Auto and AppleCarplay. JBL music system and 360 Degree camera are also configured with this system.
At the driver side also, you will get a neatly designed digital display, which gives information like, speed, RPM, distance to empty, gear modes,outside temperature tyre pressure etc.
At the convenience side the car is provide with Auto dimming rear view mirror, which is a very helpful feature in night driving.
As always the Innova was known for its second row seat comfort. With the Hycross it is not different, the car comes with two captain seats (bench seat configuration is also available). These seats are Ottoman seats.
You will get two cup holders and arm rests on these seats too. Two USB charging sockets are also made available in this row. The seats position can be adjusted electrically.
Unlike some other vehicles, the Innova Hycross is having a usable third row seats. Eventhough the seat is for three,it can accomodate two adults comfortably at the third row.
The Hycross is very spacious, but you can feel it more spacious because of the large panoramic sunroof of the car. The car feels more airy with this adjustable sun roof.
Other features in this car are, Ambient lighting, wireless phone charging at front, USB charging sockets are provided at the front and second rows, two zone A/c with roof mounted A/c vents for rear passengers.
It is a big car and definitely it will be a tourer, and so apart from cup-holders, the car is equipped with bottle holders on all four doors and a storage space under the front arm rest. Also you can find a decent storage inside the glove box too.
At the drivability front, it is a perfect cruiser. The Hycross strong-hybrid version comes with a self-charging battery pack and the car is provided with a 2.0.liter petrol engine which is mated with an electric motor, produces a combined output of 186 PS and 206Nm torque. It can make 0 to 100 in 9 seconds.
The non-hybrid version with the same engine is also offered, which generates 174PS power and 188Nm Torque. This non-hybrid version gets a CVT whereas the strong-hybrid gets an e-CVT transmission.
The car is provide with three drive modes-Eco, Normal and Power. Moreover, the paddle shifters provided on the car will make the driving more fun.
When come to the riding comfort, it is a benchmark in MPVs. The long wheel base, well cushioned seats and fine tuned suspension setup etc.all will make every journey more enjoyable and comfortable with Hycross.

It is available in five trims namely G, GX, VX, ZX and ZX(O). Prices of the vehicle is not yet revealed but it is definitely a game changer with its comfort and mileage figures.
